new class idea
Manupilator (or whatever u want to call it)
its a melee character that can create a mirror image of itself or sort-of multiply itself into 2 or 3. can also change forms. weapon type : dagger/clubs.
Have constant health regeneration of 1 and energy regeneration or 2.
Skill: Body Split
U split into 2 bodies for 10-20 seconds. both deal same damage but health is halved and skills cannot be used.
Skill: Invert health.
u are healed for the amount of health u have left. recharge time:20 seconds. 15 energy. this is the only healing spell it has.
Skill: Company
u split into 3 bodies that deal cold, fire, and ebon damage for 10-20 seconds. health and damage is halfed skills canot be used.
Skill: Ice form.
dagger attacks now deal cold damage for 15-25 seconds. and slows enemies movement down by 15%.
Skill: Flame form.
dagger attacks now deal fire damage for 15-25 seconds. 20% chance of burning enemies.
Skill: Shock form.
dagger attacks now deal lightning damage for 15-25 seconds. 10% armor penetration.
Elite Skill: Health Seige (Hex)
targets maximum health is cut by 30-40%. for 5-18 seconds.
Elite Skill: Energy Seige (Hex)
targets maximum energy is cut by 30-40%. for 5-18 seconds.
Elite Skill: Damage Boon
The next damage received by target foe will be increased by 50-120%.

I like this concept. Far better than the usual "ninja" idea. Shape shifting would add to the visual excitement of the game.

Sure, lets get 8 of those guys in the GVG and have them all split into 3 making it 24vs8..

their health and damage would be halved and skills canot be used within this time period. if a team chooses to go 8v8 with 8 of these, it would get owned easily by any average team.

way to overpowered are you kidding, health siege...
with that elite skill you could pretty much take out a player with 2 chain lightning.

Firstly, I really don't think this idea would fit in with the gameplay of Guild Wars.
Secondly, the idea of shape shifting really sucks.
It's kind of a mixture of a necro order and a monk...but with some added to it.
No matter what anyone comes up with I think it's always gonna have elements from the other professions in it...

Of course it's going to have elements of other professions, namely, due to the fact everything that is really original guild wars has already implemented. This means three things:
1. Originality is a key factor. Don't want to make a duplicate class.
2. Seeing as the majority of skills that could also be associated with other classes are currently in game, people could argue you could, if you really wanted to, be said class if you had it built exactly like you'd want it in game. <hard to do, but granted, still an option.
3. Shapeshifting like diablo 2's druids although unique, would serve hardly any purpose. I still like the idea; just not when it's used in such a fashion.
My 2 cents.

How would you control 3 characters without making it awkward?
